State College, PA - August 1, 2008 - Today, Spectrum Power Management Systems is working with clients on many DC SMARTstart® applications. This power distribution and circuit protection unit is designed for DC power applications at -48, +12, or +24/+28 VDC.

The DC SMARTstart® provides the operator the ability to remote power cycle all twelve solid state breakers as well as the two ROCB mains breakers. No matter what application, it is an ideal solution for any device that has a DC supply and operates in a hard to get to location. The unit features numerous methods of interfacing to set prescribed user functions including a Visual Basic (VB) interface to program the power up/down sequence and power up/down delays for each channel, along with LVD and OVD thresholds.

Always looking to assist in proactive maintenance and solution implementation, the device features a 6 month on-board event log, front panel push buttons for local output control, reverse polarity protection, and communication via a serial or TCP/IP connection. Units are available with a 30, 50, 60, 80, or 100 Amp total combined load output.
