The Power Management Systems Business of Spectrum Control, Inc. is looking to expand our product capabilities through the hiring of a Product Design Engineer to join our dynamic State College, PA team.
The individual filling this role will be a critical link in creating the functional performance of our advanced power product designs for the industrial, commercial and government markets. The successful candidate will create & maintain product design specifications consistent with customer and market requirements while working with component suppliers, quality assurance and process and manufacturing associates to achieve reliable, durable, high quality product and realistically achieving cost target goals. The individual will work with suppliers and our manufacturing organization to build prototype and production parts and also work closely with test and engineering techs to validate the product's capability.
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
- BSME and at least 5 years related work experience
- Ability to effectively communicate technical material
- Experience with electronics packaging, preferred
- Experience with 3D modeling (Inventor or Solidworks), preferred
- Experience with thermal management solutions, preferred
- Experience with sheet metal and machined metal fabrication, preferred
- Experience with military specifications, preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
- Good PC Skills
